  1. Nice! Who is the Dolly in your photos? Related information - Heather's grandpa Lindsay, was a member of the Military Police during WWII. One day, he was assigned the duty of making sure that no Allied forces used a road that was known to be under the control of German forces. Along came an abbreviated tank column, led by none other than George S. Patton. Grandpa Lindsay tried to tell the stubborn general that he should use the road that was known to be safe versus the road known not to be safe. General Patton, chose not to take the advice of the lowly MP that day, and proceeded on his way down the occupied road. After a short period of time, Sergeant Lindsay could hear what we today refer to as a "fire fight" break out. Very shortly thereafter, General Patton's tank column, with the General in the lead, was beating a hasty retreat back in the direction from which they had originally come! It just goes to show that most often, those wearing the stripes in the service, know much more than those wearing the stars!
    True story.
