Star Gazing 5

5th time lucky? Had to wait for anoth clear night, and this was it. I took 100 images at 30 seconds exposures, and used the piece of software created by this fella Star Trails Still could be perfecting, but think I'm getting there. Need to head out into the countryside next and give it a go with a better landscape.

Star Gazing 4

Last one of the night, and I accidentally found the north star!

Star Gazing 3

3rd attempt, four exposures, averaging about 600 seconds each. Getting there, wanted to get as close to the north star as possible, but kinda missed! Might go outside and have another go, this is getting addictive...

Star Gazing 2

After my brother saw my previous attempt, and asked why I didn't "do one of them star trails", I decided I'd give it a go, unfortunately, after about 30 minutes setting everything up, and doing some trial runs, about 8 minutes into the real thing, the clouds came out...... maybe next time...

Star Gazing

It was this time last year, when Star Gazing Live was on (really does make you want to go out and photograph the stars) that I took some shots of Orions Belt. I went out again this year, here's the back of my house, came out quite well considering it was pitch black (long exposure, 20 seconds, plus a little help through some post processing,I must admit). Last time I pointed out a constellation, this time round, I have no idea what they are!
