Thailand

For our honeymoon, Heather and I were very fortunate to receive gift money to travel to Thailand for two weeks. Starting off with two days in Bangkok, then on to Phuket where we stayed in a couple of luxury resorts. We also spent 3 days in a luxury tented camp in Elephant Hills.

Bangkok

Grand Palace, Bangkok

Wat Pho

The second day we had, we visited a floating market, south of Bangkok
The Railway Track Market of Samut Songkhram

This market has a rail line running through it

We then travelled further south to a place where they
showed you all the things you can do with a coconut
As well as coconut milk, they were making sugar; cups, bowls;
coconut oil, nothing seemed to be wasted

We then arrived at the floating market

Our tour guide then took us to the Royal Thai Handcraft Center

This is one large piece which has been handcrafted.
This particular carving, is for Barack Obama's visit in November

We then moved on to Phuket, and to the Marriott. This is the first day on the beach...

Nice view, eh?
On our arrival, we were taken on a canoe trip round the jungle,
where we spotted the local wildlife
